Exceptional close-up photographs of all identifying fetures for each plant entry along with essential information, and a profile drawing indicating size and shape. Quick, accessible, and colourful format. 		Dirr's HARDY TREES AND SHRUBS: An Illustrated Encyclopedia by Michael A. Dirr. Dirr's MANUAL OF WOODY LANDSCAPE PLANTS (below) has been the standard reference for students of horticulture for over 15 years, and in 1997 this stunning photographic companion was published. Many refer to this as "the photographic edition of the MANUAL" but it is a very different book.
