With over 8,000 plants organized first by plant type, then broken down into colour and size groups, this is one of the most comprehensive plant selection books, however I am disappointed in the vague handling of zone information. This is a comprehensive reference that has the complete opposite approach to organizing plant entries from encyclopedias like the A-Z or FLORA. This one is for plant selection because it’s organized by description (ie: perennials - tall -white - August), while the other books reference plants alpha by name only. One is not “better” than the other - as always, the right book for the
